With concrete use scenarios to draw inspiration from, our team began to sketch potential designs. First, each team member sketched out ideas separately with a focus on quantity. Individual sketches were then used to stimulate team discussion and brainstorming. Combining ideas, we created four team sketches of our product design, this time with a focus on quality. These final sketches served as a common frame of reference as well as design guidelines for the remainder of our design process. To begin with, our design sketches influenced a second form of visual communication: storyboards.
